Health Tips that work for me

I’m not an expert in every area of wellness, but every so often I will share tips which have worked for me in the areas of meditation, yoga, mindfulness & nutrition.  My hope is that if you apply some of these to your life, they will enhance it.

Simple Green Goddess
This juice is great for runners, especially if you are training for a distance run. It’s packed
with protein & fibre, high vitamin B12, Omega 3, vitamin C, potassium and antioxidants.

2 Bananas
1/3 of a Pineapple (you can freeze the rest & use later)
2 tablespoons of Chia seeds
2 teaspoons of Organic Chlorella Powder
500 mls of filtered water
(Serves 2)

Place all ingredients in a blender and blend for 45 seconds



Strawburst Anti-inflammatory Smoothie
This is a fantastic natural smoothie to help with recovery when training for long runs. It’s packed with healthy fats and lots of carbohydrates and proteins.

2 cups of water
1 banana
1 cup frozen or fresh strawberries
1/2 cup frozen mango
1/2 cup frozen pineapple
1/2 cup frozen shelled edamame
1/4 cup dried coconut flakes
3 tablespoons Udo’s or Flora Oil (3-6-9 blend)
1 tablespoon of plant protein powder
1 1/2 teaspoons miso
1 piece of turmeric root (1-inch piece)
1 piece of ginger root (1-inch piece)

Place all ingredients in a blender and blend on high until smooth (about 1 min)
